I am Dr. Harshad Joshi a dedicated and experienced gastroenterologist with over 12 years of experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders. My journey into the field of gastroenterology began with a deep-seated passion for understanding the complexities of the human digestive system and a commitment to improving the health and well-being of my patients. I completed my medical degree at Krishna Institute of Medical sciences (KIMS) and pursued my residency in Internal Medicine at St Philomena’s Hospital, Bangalore. My specialization in gastroenterology was at Medical Trust Hospital, Kochi, Kerala; further honed during a fellowship at University of Alberta, Canada, where I gained extensive hands-on experience and advanced training in Inflammatory Bowel disease. Throughout my career, I have provided compassionate, patient centered care. I believe in a holistic approach to medicine, considering not just the physical symptoms but also the emotional and psychological aspects of health. My goal is to create a comfortable and trusting environment where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered to participate in their own care. In my practice, I utilize state-of-the-art technology and the latest medical advancements to diagnose and treat conditions such as acid reflux, irritable bowel syndrome, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, and liver disorders. I am also skilled in performing advanced endoscopic procedures, including colonoscopy and Double balloon Enteroscopy, to accurately diagnose and manage gastrointestinal conditions. Recent developments in IBD, especially Intestinal ultrasonography (IUS) fascinates me. I was lucky to get trained at prestigious institutes like – AMC, Amsterdam; Hospital San Raffale, Milan and Kitasato University, Japan in the same arena. Beyond my clinical practice, I am actively involved in research and continuing education, staying at the forefront of gastroenterological advancements to ensure my patients receive the best possible care. I have published numerous articles in reputable medical journals and frequently present at conferences to collaborate with fellow experts in the field. When I am not in the office, I enjoy being with my lovely daughters, which help me maintain a balanced and fulfilling life.
